Today at the NRF (National Retail Federation) 102nd Annual Convention & EXPO, Epson America, Inc.,a leading supplier of value-added Point of Service (POS) solutions, and AppCard Inc., developer of a next-generation customer loyalty platform, announced the availability of the AppCard customer loyalty service with Epson’s OmniLink™ smart POS solutions family. OmniLink combines an Epson industry-leading POS printer with PC functionality to deliver cloud-based services, open platform mobility and flexible web based printing from any mobile device. Paired with Epson’s OmniLink, AppCard provides a powerful, effective cloud-based customer loyalty platform that involves no integration with the POS and requires only a minimal setup time – at a lower cost than traditional loyalty programs on the market today.
“We’ve been a happy AppCard customer for six months, and we already see the benefits, ” explained Zvika Cohen, the owner of Basics Plus. “We’re looking forward to migrating to the AppCard solution with OmniLink to access even more customer data faster, with reliable connectivity and more mobility. We see this solution as bringing us closer to our customers and helping us understand their preferences better so that we can personalize our offers accordingly.”
Epson’s OmniLink solutions provide the data gateway that enables the delivery of cloud-based services via Ethernet or WiFi connectivity. Because the AppCard application resides on the OmniLink printer outside the POS system, retailers gain the benefits of rapid deploymentwith no need for POS integration. AppCard’s cloud-based loyalty platform provides real-time reports, deep analytics, and business intelligence that enable merchants to engage each customer with personalized offers that enhance loyalty and drive repeat business. Through the AppCard smartphone app or Web account, shoppers receive personalized offers, earn rewards and free gifts, and get live digital receipts.
“Retailers need innovative ways to engage customers and foster loyalty, and the OmniLink solution with AppCard delivers,” commented Gregg Brunnick, Director of Marketing for Epson’s Business Systems Division. “With minimal development time, retailers can have mobile loyalty programs up and running.”
“OmniLink is a powerful vehicle for deploying the AppCard loyalty platform at the POS,” said Yair Goldfinger, CEO and Co-founder of AppCard. “The combination of AppCard’s solution with Epson’s OmniLink provides large and small retailers with an integration-free way to implement a loyalty program that enhances the shopping experience and increases customer retention.”
The AppCard solution with OmniLink has been installed at selected customer sites, and will be available in the first quarter of 2013 through AppCard’s designated partners (www.appcard.com). AppCard™ is a next-generation customer loyalty platform that is changing the way brick-and-mortar stores communicate with their customers. The platform provides merchants with effective tools to raise profits and increase customer retention: a five-tier loyalty platform, a deep analytics engine, rewards, and personalized offers. With AppCard, launching a loyalty program is easy and intuitive. The setup requires no integration with the merchant’s POS and takes less than 20 minutes. The AppCard smartphone and Web-based applications increase stickiness, making offers more visible to customers and driving more customers into a merchant’s store again and again. Founded in 2011 by the team behind ICQ (the world’s first Internet-wide instant messaging service), Dotomi, and Jajah, AppCard is changing the way brick-and-mortar stores acquire and retain their customers.
